Creating
a nation-wide coal supply and distribution network
To
ensure a steady supply of coal for its many energy
production plans, Golden Concord has created its
own logistics firm which manages over 90% of the
group's fuel supply and delivery. Through mergers
and acquisitions of coalmines in Shanxi, Henan and
Inner Mongolia, the Group established the vertically
integration downward to secured fuel supply. One
of which is over 1 billion ton coal reserve in Inner
Mongolia¡¥s Xilinguole League region. The Group has
founded an integrated industrial base comprising
coal mining, distribution depots, coal-based petrochemical
complexes, and power generation.
Golden
Concord has also established long-term agreements
with China Shenhua Coal Trading, the Huainan Mining
Group, and numerous sizable coalmines in Henan and
Shanxi provinces, which have further enhanced its
fuel-supply portfolio.

Infrastructure
All
of the Group's power plants are located along the
coast of the East China Sea, the Yangtze River and
its adjoining canals, and all plants are equipped
with jetties to facilitate coal supply. The Group
has established a port facility in Taicang, Jiangsu
Province - at the mouth of the Yangtze River, with
the capacity to handle over a million tons of coal.
In addition, a 20 million ton port facility in Taicang
Harbour is planned for construction within the next
ten years. These facilities not only serve the Group's
internal needs, but also contribute towards the
overall economic development of the region.
All-in-one
Shipping Services
Golden
Concord has established coal transportation partnerships
with major Chinese shipping companies, including
the China Shipping Group, the China Ocean Shipping
Group and Tianjin Harbour Shipping Company Limited.
Through
joint venture and partnerships, the Group is involved
in the transportation and distribution of coal along
China¡¦s coast, as well as the Yangtze River and
its adjoining canals. Leveraging this infrastructure,
it also provides shipping and freight forwarding
services as well as vessel sales brokerage.
Through
charters and direct ownership, the Group controls
a shipping fleet with a transportation capacity
of over 200,000 tons. This fleet transports more
than 10 million tons of coal annually, ensuring
a stable and reliable supply of fuel to power the
Yangtze River Delta.
Integrated
Gasification Combined Cycle providing clean energy
for the community
Integrated
Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) (In Progress)
IGCC
(Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle) is a coal-based
multiple supplies technology that combines coal
gasification with coal-based chemical syntheses
to supply heat, electricity and chemical by-products
from a single complex. The process consists of three
major phases: coal gasification and purification,
fuel gas-steam IGCC power generation and chemical
syntheses.
Golden
Concord contracted to develop an IGCC pilot project
with the Nanjing Chemical Base, a national chemical
complex; and is also planning other large IGCC projects
in Shanghai¡¦s Chongming Island, and the Zhejiang
and Guangdong provinces. The Group is promoting
IGCC and is planning comprehensive projects with
large coal mining corporations in Henan, as well
as large chemical plants in Shanghai and Jiangsu.
